Baseline of the day

"Get Lucky" by Daft Punk ft Pharell is the baseline of the day. It is interesting because it has an older touch but still is current.

Drum Beat of The Day

This Drum beat comes from Adele's song "Rumor has it". It is very interesting because it has a nice jazzy appeal to it and it fits the song nicely without being to overwhelming, etc.

New Music

I recently have been listening to alot of Sia lately especially her new album "1000 Forms of Fear".
I was first introduced to her as I was scrolling down Tumblr (yeah, It's one of those stories). Anyway, I was scrolling and I noticed this playlist regarding the show "American Horror Story : Coven". The playlist was entitled "Sarah's grieves for her lost Misty". The playlist was sad, of course , but one song that captivated me was "I'm in here " which happened to be Sia. This was my first encounter of her music and from then on I have been listening to her ever since.
She's an Australian native who growing up listened to alot of Motown and such. Her genre, in my opinion is really undefined. She can be Reggae, electronic, jazzy, etc but when you listen to her , It's so form fitting and It leaves you stunned. She has also written songs for artist like Rihanna , Lea Michelle, Britney Spears and Celine Dion.
Her new CD "1000 Forms of Fear" has hit #1 on the billboard charts. Not only that, her music video for her hit song off the new album "Chandelier" featuring the talented Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler is the most watched video on YouTube and vimeo. There are other great songs on the album. My personal favorites are Chandelier (of course!), Fire Meets Gasoline, Cellophane and Free the Animal.

Introduction

My name is Jailynn. I'm a 15 years old. I go to Wilbur Cross High School. I was born in Bridgeport but have lived in New Haven for 8 years now and consider myself to be from here for the most part. I don't hold a certain favorable type of genre when it comes to music. I pretty much like anything for the most part except for country music or certain music on the radio that gets played over and over.
